Tech FAQ

  • iPhone 4/4S
  • Is the backcover glass of the iPhone 4 Verizon (CDMA) compatible with any iPhone 4S?
  •      ● YES.
  • ►Do the LCD and Digitizer come together for the iPhone 4/4S/5?
  •      ● YES.
  • ►Do the LCD and Digitizer come together for the iPhone 3G/S?
  •      ● NO. They can be purchased and repaired separately.
  • ►Can you replace earpiece speaker w/out removing entire cable assembly?
  •      ● Yes you can replace it without removing the cable the only difference (with iPhone 4) is there's a small
  •         black metal piece holding down the proximity sensor. pry it loose and fold the tab over the ear speaker.
  •         you can now replace it. have a nice repair.
  • ►No Service after battery replaced?
  •      ● This is the just the problem of Correct date and time in your iPhone. This is the big problem of iPhone
  •         4S . in every iPhone 4s if you take out the battery and place back, it will remain in searching . Change
  •         the date and time then restart your iPhone . if still have problem . Reset the network setting . your
  •         iPhone will work surely.
  • ►What Part Do I Change Once The iPhone 4s Gets Wet?
  •      ● Well, you should never, ever try to turn on a water damaged device. Water itself is not damaging, but it
  •         de-routes electricity where it's not supposed to do. So, at first, you should dismantle your device and
  •         clean it thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol. Let the parts dry, then reassemble and evaluate. You're surely
  •         going to need a new battery. (If you tried to charge it while wet).
  • ►Why can't a Verizon front panel replace an AT&T one?
  •      ● Worth noting, is that as the frame is the only part of the display assembly that is different, it is possible
  •          to move glass from one phone into the frame of the other phone. This is, however, a much more difficult
  •          job, involving removing the broken glass from the frame that it's glued into, without damaging the lcd. If
  •          you can get all the glass out of the frame, and get your friend's glass out of the frame without breaking it,
  •          you should be able to glue (I've heard E6000 recommended as the adhesive of choice for this) the good
  •          screen into the correct frame.
  •          You should have a heat gun for this, and take it very slowly. It's a difficult, tedious, and dangerous
  •          process, but it can be done.
  • ►What is error -1?
  •      ● The -1 Error of Hardware failure . it actually comes when Baseband (IMEI) of the IPhone corrupted . you
  •          have no option rather than replacing the iphone or Change the logic board inside. if you are using the
  •          mac then connect the phone in recovery mode and go to system profiler and then go to usb then select
  •          the iphone .this will show the serial number there . if the serial number show ffffffffffffffff like this then
  •          change the phone . otherwise we can try to recover the iphone .
  • ►Verizon to GSM hardware conversion?
  •      ● Not possible. CDMA is in no way compatible with the GSM, they are different standards altogether. So,
  •          you would need a different motherboard and a different frame, which then would require you to also get
  •          a different display assembly etc. With all that accomplished, you might as well get a GSM phone.
  • ►Inside corner screw hole missing on wi-fi antenna
  •      ● Just place the donut nut on the logic board held by the small pressure contact of the logic board. Then
  •          put the Wi-Fi Plate in place and put the screw in. If the donut nut spins hold it with tweezers or the tip of
  •          a pin. This nut and screw are not important for any function.

  • IPADS
  • ►Is the iPad 3 Digitizer compatible with the iPad 4?
  •     ● YES.
  • ►Ipad 2 not charging after digitizer replacement?
  •     ●  See if you disconnected charging port cable or damaged it by any chance.
  •         Check the power cable if there is any small crack , when you open the digitizer maybe you damage it ,it is located near
  •         the volume switch
  •         As mentioned above if you are using a metal spudger to get the old screen off, you may have gone
  •         through the charging dock cable, however before removing this new digitizer, please ensure you try
  •         another charger in case the current one is faulty
  • ►What glue to use on ipad 2 replacement screen?
  •      ● You will need an iPad adhesive kit. However, if you need to replace the thin inside plastic, order a roll of
  •          2mm, 3M adhesive, it is sticky on both sides. It also comes in handy when you need a little piece for
  •          iPods/iPhones.
  • ►Digitizer replaced / Touchscreen does not work?
  •      ● It seems that the two-prong video connector cable off of the digitizer connects to the motherboard
  •         UPSIDE DOWN. I know that sounds strange, but if your digitizer does not work after replacing it, reverse
  •         these cables and put them in what most would think to be upside down (which in this case, is correct)
  • ►Removing digitizer glue residue?
  •      ● You can use a spudger (metal or plastic) to scrape it off. A putty knife or any flat scraping utensil will
  •         work also. Just go slowly and work it bit by bit. The glue will ball up and can be peeled off. If you want to
  •         loosen it some, take a hairdryer and heat up the glue. That will get it to soften and release. Just be
  •         careful to avoid blowing heat directly onto the LCD, stick to the edges.
  • ►Does the home button come with the digitizer on the iPad?
  •      ● The home button flex is adhered to the digitizer. Once you lift the LCD from its housing you can d
  •         Is connect the home button flex.
  • ►Does the ipad 3 have the same Wifi-Bluetooth antenna as iPad2?
  •      ● No. The 2 parts have different Apple Part Numbers (APN) and they have different brackets where it is
  •         screwed into place. We'll have the iPad 3rd Gen antenna in our store very shortly.
  • ►Where is the internal microphone on the iPad 3?
  •      ● It is right above the facetime camera.
  • ►Is the Sim card removeable?
  •      ● Yes, it is. It is in a tray, look for a tray like the iPhone 4's and insert a paperclip in the hole, it will come
  •          out.
  • ►Holding the back of the iPad to the face, dangerous?
  •      ● Should not be any different than a 4G LTE cell phone. While I won't hold it that close, your headache
  •         was most likely caused by something else (sound not RF). Actually, there is zero misinformation. The
  •         Verizon iPad will work on most GSM carriers including AT&T. The AT&T iPad does not have the
  •         antennae set up to work on CDMA. So they are not the same. As well as the LTE (which was my
  •         original statement) bands being entirely separate, and non-interoperable they're both in the 700mhz
  •         band but are still different frequencies. The iPads are different. Do they have the same Qualcomm chip?
  •         Yes, so the antennae are the "same". But they have separate operating parameters.

  •          the logic board is damaged and may need a replacement.
  • ►Why does my iPhone 3GS just turn off?
  •      ● How long does it hold the charge for after you've plugged it in for a couple hours? Did this happen all of
  •         a sudden or has it been a slow decline in battery life? It sounds like your battery might have reached
  •         the end of its life. Check out the Battery Replacement Guide for more information on replacing it.
  • ►What Will Solve the Camera Malfunction After Battery Replacement?
  •       ● Have you tried using another camera app? not as a substitute but to identify if it’s a software issue, or if
  •          you have incorrectly connected or broken the camera cable. My ipod sometimes has this problem but is
  •          solved by simply app killing the "camera" app via double click home button > holding the app > and
  •          clicking it delete option.
